Raster (Halftone) | The Gradient Engine

For art that lives in the shadows and highlights. We convert your continuous tones into a series of microscopic dots, allowing us to recreate fades, shadows, and glows with a single screen.

• Best for: Photographs, smoke effects, and soft-edge illustrations.

• The Win: Achieves complex depth without adding extra screen fees.

Index Colors | The Streetwear Mosaic

A technical favorite for complex, multi-color art. Instead of traditional dots, we break the image into a “mosaic” of square pixels using a limited color palette.

• Best for: High-detail illustrations on dark garments where you want a soft, “vintage” feel.

• The Win: Provides a very high-end, artistic texture that feels expensive.

4-Color Process (CMYK) | The Photo-Realist

The classic approach for printing on light-colored surfaces. By overlapping Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black, we can reproduce a full spectrum of colors using only four screens.

• Best for: Full-color photos on white or light-colored shirts/signage.

• The Win: The most cost-effective way to print a “rainbow” of colors.

Simulated Process | The Powerhouse

Our signature move for high-end dark apparel. We use a combination of spot colors and halftones to “simulate” a full-color photograph on black or dark garments.

• Best for: Heavy-duty streetwear graphics, movie posters, and hyper-realistic props.

• The Win: Incredible vibrance and detail that outlasts and outshines standard CMYK.

Every separation method is chosen based on your Ascension roadmap. We select the process that maximizes your art’s fidelity while keeping your screen count—and your budget—optimized.

Color Separation: Terms & Conditions

1. Technical Methodology

We reserve the right to determine the most effective separation method—Spot, Raster, Index, CMYK, or Simulated Process—based on the substrate and the complexity of your artwork. Our goal is to “do it right from the start,” prioritizing the best visual outcome for the production floor.

2. Proofing & Digital Approval

• Virtual Mockups: Before we burn screens, we provide a digital separation proof. This is your opportunity to verify color layers and placement.

• Finality: Once the digital proof is approved, Avozarswag is not liable for errors in the original art file (e.g., typos, hidden layers, or low-resolution artifacts). Any changes requested after approval will incur additional re-separation fees.

3. Pantone (PMS) Matching

• Standard Mixing: We use a high-precision mixing system to match Pantone Solid Coated colors.

• Substrate Variance: While our ink is precise, the final color may vary slightly depending on the garment material or signage surface. We optimize every separation with a Flash-Ready underbase to minimize this variance.

4. Intellectual Property & Ownership

• Asset Transfer: Unlike other shops, we grant Full Copyright Transfer of the color-separated files to you upon final payment.

• Master Files: We maintain a digital backup of your separations for two years as part of your Legacy Archive. After two years without an order, these files are retired from our active server, please make sure you store your files properly. 

5. Separation Service Fees

• One-Time Cost: Color separation fees are per-design, not per-print. If you reuse the exact same art for a re-order within the 2-year window, you won’t be charged for separations again.

• Non-Refundable: Due to the intensive technical labor involved in architecting your art, separation fees are non-refundable once the work has commenced.

The Avozar Swag Standard: We don’t just “split colors”—we engineer the foundation of your brand’s physical presence. Precision in the lab ensures velocity on the press.

Film Positive Ownership & Archiving

At Avozarswag, we believe in total transparency. While screens are a rental service, your Film Positives are your property. We manage the storage so you don’t have to, but here is how we keep the library lean and your profit protected:

Complimentary In-House Storage: We securely store your physical films in-house for two years following your last order. This makes re-orders seamless and cost-effective.

The 2-Year Sunset: If you haven’t placed an order in two years, your project enters the “reclaim phase.” Exactly one week after the two-year mark, we shred all unclaimed films and reclaim the screens to make room for new ventures.

Take Them With You: If you plan to move your production elsewhere or simply want your physical masters, it is your responsibility to request and collect your films within that two-year window.

Asset Protection: Once films are shredded and screens are erased, they cannot be recovered. To restart a project after this period, new film and screen setup fees will apply.

Screen Service Terms & Conditions

To keep your production moving and your margins high, we operate under industry-standard screen protocols. Doing it right from the start means being clear about how we handle your technical assets.

One Screen, One Color: We expose your graphics per Color Separation. This means every individual color in your design is professionally exposed onto its own dedicated screen for maximum precision.

The “Rental” Model: Please note that screen fees are a service charge for the technical process of prep, exposure, and alignment. You are “renting” the space on our high-tension frames for your production run; you do not own the physical screen itself.

Digital Asset Ownership: While the physical screen stays in-house, the Intellectual Property is yours. We grant full copyright transfer for the design and technical separations upon project completion.

The 2-Year Archive: We keep your “master” screens ready for easy re-orders. However, to keep our library efficient, all screens are reclaimed (erased) if they haven’t been used for 2 years following your last order.

Setup vs. Service: Your fee covers the labor of burning, registering, and calibrating the screens to ensure your Flash Cures and specialty inks hit perfectly every time. We also replace the screens at no fee to you if they get damaged within the 2 year period from the last order.
